Safety Policy

At Firefly FM, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in our community is our top priority. We are dedicated to maintaining a learning environment that is not only safe but also nurturing for all children.

Background/Fingerprint checks

Every family member aged 15 or older, as well as all employees, undergo thorough background and fingerprint checks.

First Aid/CPR/AED

All of our certified teachers hold certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED for infants, children, and adults. Additionally, our substitute teachers and extra caregivers are trained in CPR to ensure a safe and responsive environment for everyone.

Environment

Both our indoor and outdoor spaces are fully childproofed in accordance with the stringent regulations set by the Massachusetts Early Education and Care (EEC).

Injury

Minor injuries will be appropriately treated on-site. In the event of a serious injury, we will immediately call 911 and promptly notify parents or emergency contacts. Additionally, an Injury Report will be filed with the Early Education and Care (EEC) department to document the incident.

Emergency Plan

We routinely conduct fire drills to ensure preparedness. In the event of any emergency situations, we will adhere strictly to our Emergency Contingency Plans.

Food and sleep

At Firefly FM, we adhere strictly to the Early Education and Care (EEC) guidelines for food and sleep to ensure the safety and well-being of all children under our care.

FireflyFM is now an AMS member school!
