  • Do you have holidays?
Yes, our schedule aligns with the Andover Public School Calendar. This includes observing all Federal and State holidays, school recesses, and closures due to snow days. For detailed information, please refer to the 2023-24 school year calendar at https://aps1.net/2292/School-Year-Calendar-2023-24
  • Do you change diapers?
Certainly! We prioritize daily diaper changes to maintain consistent hygiene and care. By adopting the highly esteemed Montessori method for diaper changes, we enhance children's language skills and collaboration. To help prevent allergies and contamination, we kindly ask parents to provide their preferred brand of diapers.
  • How do you deal with the transition?
Toddlers often experience stress when adapting to new environments. To ease this transition and promote better adjustment, we have planned several supportive measures: We encourage you and your child to visit our classroom at least once before September. This familiarization visit will help ease your child into the new setting. Although the first few days of September are usually holidays, our doors will be open in the mornings. This time is specially set aside for you and your child to spend together in the classroom. You're welcome to observe as your child explores the environment and interacts with the teacher. Once the daycare officially begins, we request that you leave a family picture and a comforting item for your child, such as a blanket or toy. This helps us to soothe and comfort your child in your absence, offering familiarity and security. If your child finds solace in staying in the tent, that option is available as well. We understand that transitions can be challenging for young children. Our dedicated and experienced team will strive to create a nurturing environment that feels like a second home, fostering both physical and mental growth. Your involvement and support are crucial in alleviating your child's stress during this important transition period.
  • Do you offer potty training?
Absolutely! We have an assessment system to determine if your child is showing readiness for potty training. When your child is ready, we are more than happy to assist with this important developmental step.
  • What if my child gets sick?
We're sorry to hear about your child's illness. We understand this can be a challenging time, but please be aware that illnesses can be contagious. To safeguard the health of all our children, we kindly request that you keep your child at home until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without medication. This policy helps ensure a healthy environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
  • Will you send parents pictures and reports?
Absolutely! At FireflyFM, we understand the importance of staying connected to your child's daily experiences. That's why we use a dedicated communication app to keep you informed. Through this app, you'll receive regular updates, including photos and videos of your child's activities, giving you a virtual window into their daily adventures. Our commitment to open communication extends beyond these updates. We also offer parent-teacher conferences to collaboratively support your child's development, ensuring we work together for their best progress.

FireflyFM is now an AMS member school!
